This is india ink diluted to all different kinds of consistencies and drawn on bristol board.

I wanted to keep a "spacey" almost dream like quality to the piece capturing that classic moment when Luke comes face to face with Vader in the Dagobah swamp. and that was probably the most difficult (and unexpected challenge I faced doing this)
I did one version before this that was more detailed and like a lot of line work etc. on it. It just didn't have the ethereal quality I wanted..

I was inspired to do this piece after I saw my good friend :iconlivio27: did a fantastic Empire piece commemorating Empire's 30th anniversary.

so happy 30th Empire you STILL kick ASS!
